I’m Not in Pennsylvania Anymore…

Between exploring Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam with local tour guides, making the most of Pakse, Laos even though I was the only person to get off the plane there, getting hit by a motorcycle twice in fifteen minutes (I am fine!), and eating snails for the first time in my life, I have had an incredible first week of backpacking Southeast Asia!

The Best Decision I’ve Ever Made

This post is all about my struggles and triumphs teaching English in a foreign country. It’s already my LAST DAY as a kindergarten teacher in Thailand! My time here was filled with sweat, insane five-year-olds, and a few tense moments, right alongside an unbelievable amount of love from the cutest little squad I’ve ever met. Whether they were running around screaming, throwing up a mini heart in all their pictures (I thought it was the money sign at first and was very impressed by the hustle), or needing help walking down a scary flight of stairs, these little nuggets changed me for the better every step of the way ❤

One Small Step for (Wo)man, One Giant Leap for the Anxious Mind

This week, I travelled to Phuket with one goal in mind: to confront one of my biggest fears (DUN DUN DUNNN). While I initially planned to tackle an emotional fear, a spontaneous moment led me to take this challenge to new heights. Between partying on Bangla Road, bungee jumping on a whim, and fighting off the urge to be a “people pleaser”, this week was packed with action you don’t want to miss!

It’s Not About the Money

This week, I challenged myself to go 24 hours straight without spending money. Within that time, I was a choreographer for Thailand’s cutest dance crew, was cornered by a troop of monkeys, and tackled the lifelong question: can money really buy happiness?

Just Go With It

From getting more mosquito bites in a day than I’ve had in my entire life, a series of tragic phone deaths (yes that is plural), and having to learn to use a Thai toilet, Thailand has been giving me a lesson in going with the flow. This post showcases some of my finest (most absurd) learning experiences from my first month abroad.

Try, Try, Then Make a Change?

Deep-rooted childhood beliefs, passing out in a dentists office, and choosing a new career in a shorter amount of time than Kim K. was married to Kris Humphries are just a few of the things that brought me to where I am today. This post describes my transition from desperately trying to fit into a practical career to deciding to take the leap to find something I truly enjoy.
